Meet Dr Kathy Jacobsen DMD

Kathy Jacobsen, D.M.D.

Dr. Jacobsen earned her D.M.D. degree in 1994 from the University Medical and Dental School of New Jersey. Since then, her contagious enthusiasm has allowed her to build a thriving practice focusing on adult restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Since the beginning of her career, Dr. Jacobsen has been dedicated to building long-term patient relationships and staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field of dental science. In fact, she continually expands her skills and knowledge through annual continuing education courses, including two trips each year to the Las Vegas Institute to study advanced dental anterior esthetics; her team accompanies her for additional training in their areas of expertise.

Of all the exciting challenges involved in her work, one of the aspects Dr. Jacobsen most enjoys is witnessing the positive impact on patients' lives resulting from her carefully designed 'smile makeovers'.

Carol, Office Manager

Carol has been in the Dental Field for 10 years. She started out as a dental assistant and moved to the front desk after a couple of years. She quickly gained enough experience and knowledge to move into Office/Accounts Management an has been working as a Dental Office Manager for 6 years now.

Carol is a native of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and moved to Arizona 8 years ago. Her favorite part of Dentistry is seeing the patients' reactions when they see their new smile for the first time.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with here husband Scott, and their two dogs, Bugsy & Capone. Her hobbies include traveling, watching sports and scrapbooking.

Geniene Hogan Rivera, R.D.H.

Geniene earned her dental hygiene degree at the University of New York in Binghamton, New York. She is registered in New York, New Jersey, and Arizona. During her seventeen years in the dental field, Geniene has learned to deal with patients on a human level while at the same time educating them of the importance of a healthy mouth and the benefits of a beautiful smile. Geniene keeps current with the latest hygiene issues during the year by attending extensive continuing education. Geniene is also fluent in Spanish, which helps the office assist the patients who speak Spanish. Geniene grew up in Puerto Rico and upstate New York. She moved to Arizona four years ago with her husband Willie. Geniene and Willie have two beautiful daughters, Isabella and Sofia. In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their children at home.

Shannon, Clinical Assistant

Shannon moved to Arizona from Seattle two years ago. Although, she is new to our team, she is not new to the dental field. Shannon has been a dental assistant for the past twelve years working in offices in Washington and Oregon. She brings to our team a lot of cosmetic dentistry experience and a very friendly and positive personality that help make our patients feel comfortable and at ease. Shannon is the mother of two very active children.

She has a son Jackson who is eight, and a daughter Tessa who is four. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her children, family and friends. Shannon also likes to read and is very involved with her church.
